Lets see, how do I put this properly? I didn't exactly do this project. I attempted the project, I really did.
I swear I did the non-traditional material project before in Art 2. The thing is, if I'm not completely involved in a project in the beginning it is very hard for me to finish it because I tend to get bored easily. I got bored of this project the first time I did it, but I figured since I knew how I would go about things this time around, I would complete it in a reasonable fashion. To say the least, I didn't.
Let me explain what I did first. I took plastic bags and ironed them flat to make them into a solid form. The first time I did this (art 2) it did NOT work, I didn't understand how to go about it. The second time around, I took plastic bags, an iron and parchment/wax paper. I found that parchment paper was easier to use rather than wax because with the wax, the wax melted onto the bag making the wax paper and the plastic bag into one really unnecessary weird blob of paper/plastic. I also found that using the lighter colored bags (white bags) worked A L O T better than the darker colored ones, I don't really know why. In total, I just have parts of a ironed out plastic bags, but thats about it. Because I never figured out how to make something out of it. I was going to make a bag, out of the bags (clever right?) but I didn't. I lost interest, and I moved on.
